Critical Process and Utility Systems: Cleaned, Flushed, Passivated and Documented

Cleansol plans and executes specialized cleaning, passivation, derouging and oxygen cleaning for hygienic process and utility systems. We support project teams from pre-construction scope development through measured field execution, verification and documented turnover.

Two ways projects reach us

Cleansol is a specialized field-services contractor for hygienic process and utility systems in the Life Sciences, Data Center, Semiconductor and Food & Beverage industries. We work with owners, engineers and mechanical contractors to plan and execute cleaning, passivation, derouging and oxygen cleaning scopes, then provide the records needed for turnover.

New construction or expansion

The system is going in now. Startup is on the schedule.

  1. Pre-construction planning and circuit design
  2. Pre-operational cleaning and flushing
  3. Passivation where specified
  4. Verification and documented turnover
Start with pre-construction
Existing system or shutdown

The system is in service and something has changed.

  1. Condition assessment and scope definition
  2. Chemical cleaning or derouging as required
  3. Re-passivation where specified
  4. Verification against acceptance criteria

Pre-Construction

The plan exists before the trucks do

Successful field execution begins with an executable plan. Cleansol reviews drawings and specifications, defines circuits and temporary connections, calculates volumes and flow requirements, plans equipment and filtration, and aligns responsibilities, labor and schedule before mobilization.

Scope intake

P&IDs, plans, specifications, system list, pipe sizes, metallurgy, schedule and acceptance requirements.

Design review

Circuit boundaries, temporary connections, high and low points, valves, isolation and access.

Execution planning

Volumes, flow targets, chemistry, pumping, filtration, instrumentation, labor and sequence.

Turnover alignment

Required readings, samples, logs, calibrations, approvals and the customer closeout format.

Marked-up drawing

Basis of estimate

Volumes, flow targets, equipment, labor and schedule assumptions.

Data Centers

Liquid cooling brought stainless into the data hall

Technology cooling systems, CDU circuits and direct-to-chip loops increasingly run stainless piping with high-purity, low-conductivity coolant. In those systems corrosion products are unacceptable, and passivation stops being a pharma word and becomes a commissioning requirement.

Cleansol brings the same metallurgy work it has performed in regulated facilities since 2016: in-system passivation after cleaning and before fill, prefabricated skid and module cleaning at the shop or on delivery, and turnover records built to survive commissioning review.

Two Systems, Two Disciplines

Data center cooling splits into a hydronic side and a hygienic side. Hydronic flushing scopes, including glycol and specified heat-transfer-fluid filling, are delivered through Cleanhydronics. Stainless passivation and specialty cleaning scopes are delivered by Cleansol. Same crews, same documentation standard, one project.

The Guardrail

Passivation is not required on every cooling system. On a conventional carbon steel chilled water loop it is generally not applicable, and we will tell you so.

Equipment and Controlled Execution

Configured around your system, not ours

Cleansol configures modular pumping, heating, filtration and instrumentation around the requirements of each system. Key process variables can be displayed, monitored and recorded throughout execution, creating a traceable project record.

  • Modular pumps, tanks, heaters, filters and hoses sized to the circuit
  • Hygienic pumps, valves and instrumentation in the temporary process equipment
  • Instruments repositioned as the sequence advances
  • Execution coordinated with construction, shutdown and commissioning schedules

Documentation

Turnover is a package, not a promise

CLEANDOC is Cleansol's turnover documentation package. Contents follow the project scope and your closeout format, defined before execution so the record is complete when the work is.

A redacted sample index is available for review during scope development.

Discuss Your Project Scope
CLEANDOC / Sample index. Redacted
  1. Approved procedures and project scope
  2. Chemical records and safety data
  3. Instrument calibration records
  4. Operating logs and monitored variables
  5. Measured readings log, where in scope
  6. Test results and verification records
  7. Deviations and resolutions
  8. Completion and acceptance records
